Meri is a classic sock pattern with simple and fun colorwork on both the cuff and toe. The pattern features a French heel and comes in four sizes; S (M) L (XL). The colorwork is easily memorized and suitable for both beginners and more experienced knitters.

The simple colorwork sections on the sock are the perfect way to use up those precious leftover yarns. The pattern calls for three colors; choose a light, medium and dark color for the best end result.

The pattern is written in a universal way, so there are no specific instructions in the pattern to what type of needles you should use. You can use DPN’s or circulars and the magic-loop technique.

Meri on klassinen sukkamalli jonka kärkeä ja varrensuuta koristaa yksinkertainen mutta näyttävä kirjoneulekuvio. Ohjeessa on ranskalainen kantapää ja siinä on neljä kokoa; S (M) L (XL). Kirjoneulekuvion oppii helposti ja se sopii myös aloitteleville kirjoneulojille, sillä siinä ei ole pitkiä langanjuoksuja.

Pienet kirjoneuleosiot ovat täydellinen tapa käyttää vähäisiäkin määriä aiemmista projekteista yli jääneitä langanjämiä. Valitse sukkiin kolme väriä joilla on suhteellisen suuri kontrasti keskenään; vaalea, värikäs ja tumma sävy toimivat parhaiten. Testaa värien erottuvuutta toisistaan etukäteen ottamalla langoista kuva vierekkäin ja muuttamalla se mustavalkoiseksi: näin saat tietoa niiden keskinäisestä kontrastista.

Ohjeen voi neuloa viidellä sukkapuikolla tai magic-loop tekniikalla. Kerroksen vaihtumiskohta on sukan sivulla ja kantapää neulotaan kerroksen alussa (sukkapuikoilla 1 ja 2, magic loopissa puikolla 1). Luethan ohjeet huolella läpi ennen aloittamista.
