Your favorite, much-loved sweatshirt has a new rival: Meridian. This casual, sporty pullover features a relaxed fit in the body, wide stripes on the sleeves and twisted stitch ribbing for visual interest. It’s a relatively mindless project, thanks to its endless stockinette stitch worked in the round, that results in a comfortable, wearable sweater for casual days. Confession: I’ve been known to pair this sweater with yoga pants and call it good; it’s that cozy.

Meridian is worked back and forth at the beginning until the neck shaping is established. The sweater is joined in the round at the completion of the neck shaping and worked top-down to the hem. The sleeves and neckline ribbing are worked last.
