Meristem
Meristem features a botanical motif of sprouting leaves. The mittens begin with a ribbed cuff worked in the round that transitions into the Meristem pattern at the back of the hand, while continuing in ribbing on the inner wrist for a more comfortable fit. The palm of the hand is worked in stockinette stitch and a gusset is used to create extra fabric for the thumb specifically for right and left hands. The botanical motif continues to the tip of the fingers, where the stitches are decreased and grafted together to form a rounded mitten top.
The pattern has both written and charted instructions
