This pattern is inspired by the neckerchief Merlin sports in the BBC program, Merlin. While his is made with a woven fabric this pattern will give you a crochet one in a similar style. This neck scarf is perfect for men or women, is easy & it works up speedy fast in single crochet. This is written for my yarns (Nerd Girl Yarns) but you could use any sock weight with enough yardage.

Make sure to only lightly block this to work out the curls in the edging or to steam block it as it will come out huge if you aggressively block it. Slightly blocked mine is 57” for the top and 41” for a side.
