Listing for KNITTING PATTERN ONLY - Merlin Jacket - P251
This jacket is both practical and classic and would be suitable for everyday wear. Body is worked bottom up in an all over simple and easy to memorise Diamond pattern, then divided for Fronts and Back, which are worked separately. Sleeves are worked separately in stocking stitch with the same simple Diamond pattern running down the centre length of the sleeve.Minimal seaming is required.

MATERIALS REQUIRED
Valley Yarns ‘Westhampton’ 100% Pima cotton DK (8ply). 100 m/109 yards per 50 gram ball, or any tight twisted extra fine 8ply (DK) Merino yarn. You would need to work with 3.75 mm (US 5 : UK 9) needles.

B 174 grams / 348 m / 379 yds
C 225 grams / 450 m / 491 yds
D 262 grams / 524 m / 571 yds
E 315 grams / 630 m / 687 yds
NEEDLES REQUIRED
3.5mm (US 4) circular or straight needles.
3.75mm (US 5 : UK 9) circular or straight needles if working in 8ply DK extra fine Merino yarn.
OTHER MATERIALS
5 5 : 6 : 6 : 7 buttons, approx
12 mm (½ in) – 15 mm (¾ in) size.
TENSION
23 sts / 30 rows = 10 cm (4 in) worked in Diamond pattern on
3.5 mm (US 4) needles.
