This mermaid applique is surprisingly quick to make. It is mostly crocheted, however, the tail is knitted.

The applique can be sewn onto baby blankets, scarves, hats, bags, or anything else you want.

The applique shown uses standard DK yarn, a 3.5mm hook, and a 4.0mm knitting needle. It is shown on a 6” square for size.
