This pattern is made up with what I like to call the Mermaid Scale Stitch, but is most commonly known as the Crocodile stitch. (1 row of V Stitches then crocodile stitches the next row.)
2 rows (1 v stitch row, and 1 crocodile stitch row) =2inches
Dimensions of blanket without border: 38 inches x 31 1/2 inches
Dimensions of blanket with border: 47 inches x 44 inches
This blanket is used with 4 different colors of Caron One Pound Yarn in:
Light pink-1 skein
Dark Pink- 2 skeins
Teal- 1 skein
Purple- 2 skeins
You will have yarn left over because you wont need a pound for each color l, except for the dark pink and purple because you will use those colors for the border.
The border is also worked in a V stitch, but it is a different variation from the one you use with the crocodile stitch. Special stitch instructions on the blog post will explain the differences.
