A full and frilly baby ensemble that contains a cardigan, sundress, sunhat and slippers, this entire set is KNIT FLAT and an easy pattern to work.
I chose to design this set in Kai yarn from Loops and Threads. It is a marl yarn and although it is stated to be a (3) the yarn is a light 3 and there is no reason that one could not work this design in a baby yarn with the same success
I used stocking stitch, ribbing and double moss stitch because of the yarn that I was dealing with. Any fancy and dainty stitch design that I knit in this yarn seemed to be “absorbed” by the color changes and the marl texture. The soft yarn is a delightful selection to use but it asks to be done in a simple stitch ..thus the choice.
The set is designed for your special little lady to wear in the warm weather. The skirt is very full and flowing and there are ruffles on the cardigan collar and the sunhat brim.
Easy to knit, this set will be your favorite outfit to choose for a day out in the sun.
