I spent my summer playing with colorful yarn poolside. I wanted to create something that used several colorful yarns from independent dyers and the Mermaid Fade was the result. This stocking hat is all about the yarn and uses the stockinette stitch and then blends the colors throughout to create a fade from one dramatic color to the next.

Tip: Pick your main color first and then pick two colors that are in the main color. This will help everything blend together.

Needles

US size 3 circular needles; US size 4 circular needles and double point needles.

Yarns Used

CC1: Dye Lab Yarns. Prairie Phlox Texas Wildflower. (100% Superwash Wool, 87 yards, 20 g). 1 mini skein. Fingering weight.
