Materials and Tools
One skein worsted weight cotton or acrylic yarn in skin tone (I used ‘I Love this Cotton’ in ‘Taupe’) You’ll use less than half
One skein each in 3 or more colors for clothing, accessories and hair. (I used Patons Grace in ‘Aquifer,’ and Lion Brand Truboo in Mint. For the dress and shoes I used Hobbii Cotton Kings 8/4 in white #01, lt. Pink #19, dk. Pink #15, and a small amount of strawberry #20. For the hair I used Lion Ice Cream in ‘Strawberry.’). You will have a lot left over.
One small piece of white and black embroidery thread for eye detail
2.75mm US C crochet hook
Polyester fiberfill
Pins and markers
Super glue gel (optional)
2, 12 mm safety eyes
2 pieces of 16 or 18 gauge wire, 19” and 8 ½” long
Pastel crayon or powder makeup for cheek blush
Small square of thin cardboard such as cereal box type for backpack and shoe inserts if desired
Embroidery needle
