Mermaid Notebook Cover

This notebook cover will fit a standard size A5 notebook, the pattern can be easily adapted to fit a larger/smaller notebook or diary. The loop stitch pattern used to create the cover requires an even number of stitches, so as long as your stitch count is a multiple of 2, you can knit this cover to fit any notebook!

The total length of my notebook is 44cm, which includes the front and back covers, the spine and 5cm inside the front and back covers for the flaps.

Materials:
4.5mm circular needle (straight needles can also be used, but you will need a circular needle or DPN’s to create the I cord)
1 x 100g ball Cygnet Utopia DK in 567 Fairy Glen
1 x button (any size but bigger will be better for a more secure fit)
1 x notebook/ diary to measure around
