I created this item as gifts for some friends who were asking to have little mermaid bags. So, I obliged! I figured, since I was just going along with it, I should probably write a pattern, so they all looked the same. Lo and behold! A pattern. So why not make it available to everyone else, too.

This pattern is mostly worked in the round. Do not join rows unless specifically instructed.

You will need to know how to do a crocodile stitch (Called a Shell, in this pattern), and a Chainless foundation. However, the foundation is totally optional. It is used for the strap. You can use any type of strap you like.

The fin is made separately from the tail and sewn on at the end. This part can be tricky, but it’s worth it.
