Mermaid Pouch and Plushie
I’ve been having so much fun designing plushie bags! This one is a mini version compared to my backpacks.
This intermediate level pattern includes instructions for attaching a premade 5x7 inch drawstring pouch and a mod for making a regular plushie. Please note, you can use yarn weights beyond the suggested blanket yarn, but this will affect your sizing. My finished mermaid pouches are about 8x15 inches.
This pattern is written in US terms and is worked mostly in the round. The pattern will indicate where we switch to working in rows. The strap for the pouch is “made to fit.”
Check out my testers’ creations in the final photo (final page of pattern) for some ideas! I hope you have fun creating your plushie pouches!
