Mermaid Fingerless Gloves are made to be warm enough for cooler weather when full gloves are too warm. The Tunisian Smocking stitch makes any multicolored yarn pop, and the pattern itself makes this project fun to make and pretty to look at when it’s finished. Shepard Sock yarn by Lorna’s Laces is highly recommended for this project, but any fingering weight yarn can be used to work this project. Some curling may be present when the gloves are worked up, but this will be reduced or eliminated by seaming the gloves prior to working the thumbs.
