This is an intermediate crochet pattern.

Supplies:

• 5.00 mm crochet hook
• 4.25 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• 190 yards of worsted weight yarn.
• Purse closure and hardware
• Backpack straps

Abbreviations:

• Ch: chain
• Sl st: slip stitch
• Sc: single crochet
• Sc dec: single crochet decrease
• Hdc: half double crochet
• Blo: back loops only

Yarn:
You need 190 yards of Red Heart Classic Yarn. Any #4 worsted weight yarn will work just fine.

Gauge:

6 sc sts x 8 rows = 2 inches

Other Important Supplies: You will need backpack straps. I upcycled mine from a broken backpack. You can find straps online. Always check your local thrift store! You will also need some kind of purse closure. I went with magnetic snaps that I purchased online.
