Mermaid tail/swimsuit for Dolls
Mermaid dress to fit a doll.
I used one strand of Red Heart Shimmer (Worsted weight 4) in Snow, a sparkly white and a strand of Loops and Threads Snuggly Wuggly (DK weight 3) in blue This makes a dense fabric. I wanted the fabric to be dense because after washing I didn’t want it to be limp, but also strong enough for a little girl to enjoy playing with without pulling it out of shape.
Hook: F or G (see pic above)
Bobble= http://www.craftstylish.com/item/2838/how-to-crochet-the-... It means to make 3dc in one space but not finishing them, leaving a loop on your hook and beginning the next dc, until you have 4loops, or three dc crochets half completed in one space.
ch=chain stitch
slst= slip stitch
dc= double crochet
sc= single crochet
hdc= half double crochet, this stich makes a bar at the back of your work, this will provide the loops to make the white ruffle at the mid section of the swimsuit.
sk= skip or skst=skip stitch
inc= increase meaning making 2 same stitches in one space
dec= decrease, meaning making a decrease stitch in two spaces
