Simple, elegant and feminine, the three season Merriman Street sweater is knitted flat in stockinette stitch using two different Shibui yarns in matching color ways. The body of the sweater, knitted with one strand of each yarn, features long, tapered sleeves and a round neckline. The graceful ruffle at the hem uses a single strand of yarn, and is knitted from the top down beginning with a provisional cast on. The subtle a-line shape is enhanced by short rows on the back of the sweater, which provide additional drape.
