The Merrivale Hat is a simple beanie style, textured hat. Its simple eyelet detail reminds me of the standing stones that dot the pre-historic settlement.

Skill Level – Beginner

Yarn – 50-60g fingering/4ply yarn. Mine is a sock yarn made by Opal (discontinued colourway), but you can use any yarn in either a solid, semi-solid, or tonal variegated yarn.

My sample uses 44g.

Needles – 3mm/ between a US 2 and 3, 16” circulars/40cm.

Finished Measurements – To fit head 20/22” with negative ease.
