Size
The pattern will work with any yarn size, just use the hook that has been recommended for your yarn. Size will depend on your type of yarn, size of hook and your tension.

DK yarn (light worsted) I used stylecraft special dk colours approx:

80g white

70g Lipstick

10g Green

5g Walnut

5g Dandelion

50g tinsel yarn- I used King Cole Tinsel Chunky ‘christmas’

4mm G crochet hook

I suggest using Double knit yarn, with a 4mm hook which will give a finished measurement for each square of approx 10cm x10cm (4” x 4”) with tension of 12st and 14rows in Sc to 10cm/4in.
