DETAILS ON HOW I CONSTRUCTED MY SAMPLE BLANKET:
Merry-Go-Round Hexagons
The yarn for the “Merry-Go-Hexagons” is Red Heart Roll With It Melange. One cake of Green Room and one cake of Paparazzi. I got approx. 18 Hexagons per cake using a size J hook. I made 32 WHOLE HEXAGONS & 6 HALF HEXAGONS. I joined them with a SC tight join using Bernat Softee Cotton (cotton/acrylic blend) in Feather Gray. (2 skeins)

To straighten the TOP and BOTTOM I used DECREASES in the VALLEYS.
Details for my BORDER: After the TOP and BOTTOM were straightened, I went around with 2 rounds of Moss Stitch in the same border color, with SC, chain 2, SC for the CORNERS. Then 1 round of Moss Stitch in an accent color, with SC, chain 2, SC for the CORNERS. 2 times. Then 1 round of Moss Stitch in the border color, with SC, chain 2, SC for the CORNERS. Then 1 round of DC, chain 1, DC worked in the chain 1 spaces from the previous round of Moss Stitch, with DC, chain 3, DC worked in the CORNERS. Then 1 round of Moss Stitch in the border color, with SC, chain 3, SC for the CORNERS. Then a round of Moss Stitch in an accent color, with SC, chain 2, SC for the CORNERS. Then one last round of Moss Stitch in the border color, with SC, chain 2, SC for the CORNERS.
My RICK RACK BORDER: Working on a foundation of Moss Stitch. Its SS, DC, SS worked in chain 1 space. Skip next stitch. SS in next chain 1 space. SS in next stitch. SS, DC, SS in next chain 1 space. Continue all around, making 2 SS, DC, 2 SS in EACH CORNER. SS = Slip Stitch.
