Christmas + colour + scrappy = YAY!!!

I designed my Merry Little Stocking to show off the 25 gorgeous, hand dyed yarns that make up an advent yarn calendar.

Using a similar yarn and hook size will give you a stocking approximately 14 cm long x 5 cm wide. The Merry Little Stocking pattern can also be made with any weight of yarn, but do remember to change the size of your hook to suit.
(I’ve mentioned the yarn and hook size I made mine in).

The pattern is written in UK crochet terms with US crochet terms in blue brackets .

It’s constructed using the toe up/made in-the-round method.

Use the Merry Little Stockings as decorations, an advent calendar to hold surprises, decorate a gift with them, use them to present gift vouchers!

Go stripey, make contrasting toes and cuffs, use sparkly or novelty yarn, add embroidery!
