70’s style Merry Mushroom motifs adorn two adorable bags! The first is a canister style cross body bag with a drawstring closure and a secret pocket in the lid. The second is a mini cross body tote with room for just the essentials. I’m so OBSESSED with these!

This pattern includes written instructions for two styles of Merry Mushrooms Bags.

Yarn:
Worsted cotton yarn (I used Dishie by KnitPicks, their color names are in parenthesis) :
Cream (Swan, 220 yds for Canister, 150 yds for Tote)
Tan (Mushroom, 145 yds for Canister, 75 yds for tote)
Brown (Coffee 50 yds for Canister, 25 yds for Tote)
Orange (Clementine 60 yds, 30 yds for Tote)
Green (Jalapeno 50 yds for Canister, 25 yds for Tote)
Beige (Linen 75 yds for Canister, 50 yds for Tote)
Light Yellow (Creme Brulee 50 yds total)

Materials and tools:
Size G/ 4.25 mm Hook
Scissors
Long needle for sewing in ends
8” zipper (minimum length, longer is fine)

Stitches used:
HDC: Half Double Crochet
Slst: Slip Stitch
Ch: Chain stitch
Inc: Increase (make two stitches in the same stitch)
Dc: Double Crochet

Other Terms:
Rnd: Round
Magic Ring: A method of starting working a crochet project in the round
FO: Finish off
WE: Work even (same number of sts as previous rnd)
