Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year! I love the music, the food and drink, the twinkling lights and the spirit of friendship and good cheer. I designed both the Merry X-mas Mittens and their companion socks, the Merry X-mas Socks to be fun, colourful knits that will hopefully help you really get into the spirit of the holiday!

Length of the mitten: approx. 25 cm/9.8”.
Circumference: approx. 18 cm/7.1”.
Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized
needles. You can also make the mitten longer or shorter
by adjusting the number of red rows at the top of the
mitten and/or thumb.

The pattern specifies the yarns I have used, but any yarn of the same weight (100gr = 425 meters/465 yards or 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards) will work fine.

Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):
• MC (red): 20 g
• CC1 (white) : 20 g
• CC2: 10 g
• CC3: 10 g

Pattern is written for magic loop, but double pointed needles work as well if you prefer that, just make sure to make necessary adjustments. If you want to learn magic loop, I have a link to my instruction video for this.

Pattern is available in English and Swedish.

Pattern uses 2 colour stranded knitting, except for a few rows where there are 3 colours. Option for doing the third colour with duplicate stitches is included in pattern.
