This simple women’s messy bun hat knitting pattern is an excellent beginner project.

• DESCRIPTION

The hat is easy to make, with advanced beginner knitters in mind.

Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing, knit in the round, and decrease and shape.

This hat will be super cozy to wear in the cold weather.

Yarn

1 skein of super bulky yarn (in black) suitable for size 10.00mm (US 15) needles (Lion Brand wool ease thick and quick in black or something similar).

Super bulky weight – 106 yards.

Scrap yarns can be used, as you do not need a full ball for this pattern.

Needles

Set of 10.00mm (US 15) 16″ circular knitting needles.

Level – Easy

This is an easy level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, increasing, decreasing and working in the round.

• SIZING

Adult woman
Height – 7 inches / width – 9 inches
To fit the head with a circumference of around 22-26 inches
