This hat is made for those lustrous, shiny yarns with silk or tencel in it.
It tries to mimic the look of the so called ‘Widmanstätten patterns’ that can be found in iron meteorites.
These patterns develop only during very slow cooling, which means 1-100 °C per million years. Unimaginable, right?
The hat features a folded brim.
Since the main part of the hat consists only of crossed stitches (1/1 cables), this pattern is not suited for TV knitting.
All cables can easily be made without a cable needle though. There are photo tutorials included at the end of the file to teach you how to do this.
The pattern uses a mix of written and charted instructions.
