Methera Tile Gloves combine my Victorian Tile pattern with beautiful Northern Yarn Methera, which is produced from four different breeds of sheep in Lancashire and Cumbria (Northern England).

Methera means 4 in a traditional sheep counting system. So using 4 breeds of sheep and 4 shades of yarn this 4 fingered glove is aptly named.

The fingers of the glove were designed by Ruth Matthews and there is some additional shaping which gives them a lovely snug fit.

If your hand size is slightly bigger than the given dimensions of the glove, you may increase it in size, by increasing the needle size. You may need to add some additional rows in background colour after the chart, so that you start the fingers when you have reached the base of your little finger.

The charts provided are based on using a dark colour as the background yarn. If you are planning to knit the gloves with a neutral background colour (as illustrated in pictures), you can purchase the pattern listed as Methera Tile Gloves (Light) which includes charts for a neutral background colour.

Methera yarn can be purchased in mini skeins of 50g for the background colour of the glove and 20g for the contrast colours.
