Rowan Felted Tweed has been a colorwork staple for decades; and if you’re like me, you’ve accumulated all kinds of skeins of their beautiful tweedy colors over the years. But what to do with all these odd balls? That’s the inspiration for the Metropolitan Modular pullover. It’s simple, it’s colorful, it’s completely reversible, it has lots of options, and it uses up those extra skeins of colorwork yarn in your stash.

When I mention options, there are lots. The sweater is shown in two different color palettes, one using classic current colors in autumnal tones and another mixing in some discontinued shades in pastel tones as inspiration to use up some of that long-held stash. While the sample is shown with seams to the outside, they can just as easily be done to the inside. If you find you don’t have quite enough yarn for a particular piece, you can change colors at any point, or make stripes. I’ve also included instructions for a different neckline that is also reversible. It’s up to you!
