Metsäpolku socks
Metsäpolku socks were inspired by Finnish nature: Streams , leaves and twigs when spring makes forests awake again after long winter. Metsäpolku actually means forest trail in finnish. Stitch pattern is a combination of leaf lace, bobbles and moss stitch. Part of the stitch pattern was inspired by Hitomi Shidas Japanese knitting stitch bibble.
CONSTRUCTION
Knitted toe up with short row heel construction. Finished with ribbing and tubular bind off.
SIZE
Socks come in two sizes, 20cm/8inch and 21,5cm/8,5inch circumference. You can adjust the length by adding rows to the instep.
GAUGE
30sts/42rows = 10cm in stockinette in the round
MATERIALS
-You´ll need 1 skein of filcolana arwetta classic (50g/210m) in a beautiful forest green colourway. Pattern uses pretty much all of the yarn, so if you want to be on the safe side, get 2 skeins.
- 80cm Circular needles in a 2mm size
