Inspired from the forest with textured leaves and ferns, special details and accents, this true crescent lends itself to many wearing options. The base of the leaves are worked in a unique method to “lift” them away from the cast-on for greater definition; a feminine lace edging graces the neckline while the ends taper to a fabulously finished pair of leaves.
Pattern is professionally formatted with 11 pages, 3 charts, a schematic and a photo tutorial. All instructions are fully written out, and charted in large, clear, easy-to-read charts. There is a full stitch glossary included so you don’t have to pull out your books looking for a definition.
Don’t confuse detail with difficulty. Full instructions are easier to follow than brief, cryptic ones.
I take pride in being very concise and precise in my pattern writing so nothing is left for you to ponder over. I feel the beginner knitter shouldn’t have to get lost with assumptions, things they’re not clear with; yet with the same thinking, the experienced knitter shouldn’t be bogged down with overkill in explanations. I don’t feel that’s fair to you, your job is to enjoy the knitting; my job is to allow that to happen, to make it easy and fun to knit this pattern. You get full, step-by-step instructions so you don’t have to wrack you brain trying to figure it out…that’s what you’re paying me to do!
While DK weight is called for, you can knit this shawl in any yarn you love--not worrying about meeting the pattern’s gauge--so long as your stockinette swatch has the drape and feel you desire.
