The Michigan Waves Cowl was inspired by a beautiful gradient set of blue yarn from Daffodil Road Yarn. I wanted to design a cowl that was inspired by the state where I grew up, Michigan. Since there are lots of lakes in Michigan, a gentle wave pattern seemed like the perfect fit. I used one full fade set of 400m/100g fingering weight yarn for the blue sample cowl.

For the smaller pink sample cowl, I used approximately 280m of Bendigo Woollen Mills Multicoloured Sock Yarn. The slow colour changes make this a beautiful yarn for this design. When the cowl is made in one colour, the outside looks almost identical to the inside.

The pattern is suitable for an intermediate level crocheter, and includes a chart and a video tutorial.
