Mici Socks
I don’t know if there are any easier socks to knit than these! I wanted to make something cute, modern and easy enough to preemptively solve any eventual second-sock syndrome because to me it often happens… worked only in stockinette stitch and with simple heel construction, Mici Socks are not only a perfect option for beginners in socks knitting but also they can become a kind of playground for you to play with colours in total creative freedom.
sizes:
1 (2) 3 (4)
foot circumference: 17-19 (20-22) 23-25 (26-28) cm / 7-7 1/2 (8-9) 9-10 (10 1/2-11)”
Note that the finished sock circumference has a negative ease approx. 2,5 cm / 1” because of the mohair elasticity.
materials:
yarn:
25 g Föa Nuvia (70% super kid mohair, 30% nylon, 225 m / 246 yds ― 25 g) or at about 200 / 219 yds of any lace-weight mohair yarn with similar parameters
needles:
3 mm / US 2,5 needles (double-pointed needles or at least 80 cm circular needle or any other needles you prefer to knit socks with)
notions:
stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holder or waste yarn and eventually an extra needle if you are in the 3-needle bind-off clan
gauge:
22 stitches / 10 cm on 3 mm needles in stockinette stitch
Hoping you enjoy knitting them as much as I do and I am looking forward to see your versions!
xoxo Marie
