Middlemarch
Norah Gaughan’s Middlemarch pullover is a fresh take on the classic Guernsey. Cables and twisted stitches make for an engaging project, and the stockinette body and sleeves provide a smooth coast to the finish.
Knit in soft and cozy Ultra Alpaca, this sweater has a clever construction that begins at the bottom of the yoke, working the back and front up to join at the shoulder with a three-needle bind-off. Next, stitches are picked up along the cast-on edges and joined to work the body down in the round to the hem. Stitch patterns are both charted and written out.
