Midnatt mittens are colourwork mittens knitted in the round from the bottom up, with thumb gussets. After a two colour cast on and latvian braid, the mittens are knitted in a two colour pattern of shining stars. The pattern instructions have full charts for left and right mitten, as well as chart alternatives for a longer mitten top and different lengths for the thumb.

Midnatt is the Swedish word for Midnight.

SIZE
Adult, size 1 (2) 3. Size is decided by gauge and yarn choice.

GAUGE
Measured on colourwork in the round, after blocking.
Size 1: Gauge 32 sts and 35 rows = 10 cm, will have a finished palm circumference of 18.75 cm and fit a hand approx. 17-18.5 cm.
Size 2: Gauge 30 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm, will have a finished palm circumference of 20 cm and fit a hand approx. 18-19.5 cm.
Size 3: Gauge 28 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm, will have a finished palm circumference of 21.5 cm and fit a hand approx. 19.5-21 cm.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES and NOTIONS
2.5mm (2.75mm) 3.00mm DPNs (or magic loop) to get desired gauge, stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle.

Swedish

Vanten Midnatt stickas runt, från mudden upp till toppen och med tumkilar för bra passform. Efter en tvåfärgad uppläggning och lettisk fläta stickas vantarna i ett tvåfärgat mönster av lysande stjärnor. Beskrivningen innehåller diagram för höger och vänster vante, samt diagramalternativ för en längre vanttopp och olika längder på tummen.

Midnattsvantarna har ett systermönster, Midnatt Beanie.

Mätt på flerfärgsstickning, runt, efter blockning.
