Midnight Lace Stole
The yarn I used to create this shawl was the Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Lace in the Arctic colorway. But you can use any lace weight yarn you desire. I also incorporated Miyuki 8 mix Peacock Garden beads but again you can choose you own colorway of beads to match your yarn or not even incorporate the beads in your work. I added the beads to this stole as I went with a crochet hook so that you do not have to string a ton of beads onto your yarn before starting your work. I included a photo tutorial on how to add beads with a crochet hook.
I created this shawl using the Ogee lace pattern in Barbara Walkers book. The other lace pattern incorporated in the stole I created myself and it a stitch I came across in a Japanese lace pattern I found and I have also provided a photo tutorial for this pattern to help.
I created this stole as a one piece knit so that the edging and the main piece would be worked as one. I wanted to keep the edging simple so not to take away from the lace pattern itself.
You can adjust the size of this stole to your yarn needs. In saying this you can make the stole longer or shorter by just adjusting how many repeats you complete.
I hope you enjoy this pattern and if you have any questions just let me know.
