This mask can be knit from either DK or worsted weight yarn. The body of the mask is worked on US 4/3.5mm needles, and the I-cord straps are worked on US 2/2.75mm dpns -- you’ll need 4 of them.

Originally designed for my boyfriend, this mask is the perfect way for a person who needs Stygian darkness to sleep and a craftsy night owl to share the same sleeping space. It’s also great for travel and can easily be modified to hold ice packs or lavender pillows. Only one size is available, but the pattern notes offer suggestions for customizing the size of the mask straps. The stockinette panels over the eyes curve outward slightly, giving your eyes a little “breathing room” under the mask for better comfort. Choose a soft, washable yarn for this project and you’ll never want to sleep without it!
