Midnight Spark Shawl
This shawl is designed for contrasting colors. It features an addictive but easy stitch pattern and some easy going stockinette stitch sections. With this design you can showcase the most beautiful contrasting color yarn from your stash. The stockinette stitch sections of the shawl is fun mindless knitting that can be done while watching TV and the brick sections requires a little bit of concentration but knits up fast.

One size, blocked measurements:
Depth 21”/52 cm
Width 50”/200 cm
Yarn:
You need two (3) colors of fingering weight yarn. Sample yarns are:
- Color A: Lanitium ex Machina, Silky BFL Sock, color: Catalonian Nights, 3.5oz/100g/435 yds/400m/1 skein. You need one skein.
- Color B: Malabrigo Yarn Sock, color: Sand Bank, 3.5oz/100g/440 yds/402 m. You need 0.5 skein.
- Color C: Madelinetosh tosh merino light, 3.5oz/100g/420 yds/384 m/1 skein, color: Baltic. You need 0.9 skein. Note! If your gauge varies, you may need more yarn. The sample yarn A was used completely, you will have some leftovers of B and C depending on your yarn choice and gauge.
Needles & Gauge:
US 4 (3,5 mm) 32”/80 cm long circular needle.
22 sts/30 rows = 4” 10 cm in Stockinette stitch (wet blocked swatch).
The exact gauge is not important in this pattern, however different gauge will affect your yardage! This shawl was knitted with exact yarn amounts given in the pattern. Make sure you have enough yarn.
