Midnight Sparkle Cowl
This is a great beginner project that is knit in the round with a very simple 4 row lace pattern alternating with bands of all-knit rows. The cable cast-on and purl bind-off produce similar edges and give a nice even stretch to the cowl edges. This project is a quick easy knit with a bonus of big holiday style.
This easy pattern can be altered to any length as long as you have an odd number of stitches (just remember that increasing the cast-on stitches will require more yardage).
Yarn:
2 skeins Bernat Sequin - Turquoise (153 yds each / 306 yds total)
(I got mine at Zellers for $4/skein) or your choice of aran weight yarn (but who am I kidding… this project is all about the sparkle!)
Gauge using stockinette:
14 sts = 4 inches
Needles/Other Items Required:
7.0mm 24” circular needle (or whatever size achieves gauge), a row marker and a darning needle to weave in the ends
