From the designer’s notes:
“We have seen how knitters of the last two centuries took their ideas from woven origins and I have followed this tradition by basing a girl’s dress on the Lapp summer costume, using the original colors…but also in the shape of the woven garment.
This particular pattern will be of interest to the adventurous knitter, as there is always something to do. The skirt is precisely shaped and there are different borders to be worked, including a vertical panel.“
