Midseason Sweater
Midseason is a lightweight, pullover exploring the contrast between softness & structure with its feminine silhouette & lace yoke, against the linear texture of twisted ribbing.
With no waist shaping, style lines are created by the juxtaposition of diagonal & vertical ribbed stitch patterns, combined with the drape of light fabric & positive ease. The shoulder seams are designed to sit slightly forward, lowing the elegant boat neck to a comfortable height. The high-low hem and custom length side vents allow for easy movement & layering.
This sweater is highly customizable with options provided for two body & sleeve lengths as well as instructions for custom sized neck width, sleeves, & side vents.

MATERIALS
Yarn
Amounts are provided in sport weight yarn. For best results, choose a smooth, round yarn with good stitch definition that does not split easily. Heavier fingering weight yarn is also a good choice for this pattern. Most sock yarns will work well. Cropped sample (teal) was knit with The Plucky Knitter Primo Sport (75% Superwash Merino, 20% Cashmere, 5% Nylon; 275 yards/3.7 oz. skein) in color Gus & Clara and hip length sample (pink) was knit with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport (100% Merino; 200 yards/2 oz. skein) in Afterglow.

GAUGE
Pattern includes a mini Gauge Swatch Pattern to make it easy for you to check all sweater body gauges in one swatch. Make a separate swatch for the sleeve gauge.
You need the stitch patterns from the pattern to check all gauges, but if you’d like to get a feel for if your yarn will work before buying the pattern you can check the sleeve gauge in stockinette in the round: with US 4/3.5 mm, 26 sts & 34 rows = 4”/10 cm
CONSTRUCTION
Sweater front & back are worked flat, bottom-up. Shoulders are shaped with short rows & joined together on the WS with a Three Needle Bind Off. Sides are seamed with mattress stitch & sleeves are picked up around the armholes and are worked top-down, in the round.
