Allow these mittens to give a feeling of summer in the middle of winter! The mittens are worked bottom up. First you work a ribbed edge using 1 colour, then you work in a pattern using 3 colours. The knitting pattern includes 1 chart for each size, as well as written instructions.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
Rauma Garn, Finull (100 % wool, 175 m 191 yds and 50 g per skein)
C1 (432 Dyp grønn): 50 (50) g
C2 (4406 Lys blå): 50 (50) g
C3 (4115 Lys gul): 50 (50) g

OTHER MATERIALS
Stitch markers (2) and 1 stitch holder or a piece of scrap yarn.

TECHNIQUES

  • Stranded pattern according to a chart.
  • Loop cast on: Make a loop with the yarn, put it around the RH needle and tighten.
  • M1R: Work an increase by lifting the strand between 2 sts onto the LH needle from behind and knitting it.
  • M1L: Work an increase by lifting the strand between 2 sts onto the LH needle from the front and knitting through the back loop.
  • k2tog: Decrease 1 st by knitting 2 sts together.
  • ssk: Slip 2 sts knitwise onto the RH needle, 1 at a time. Slip both sts back onto the LH needle without twisting them. k2tog through the back loop
