It is sometimes a trick to find the beauty in our urban environments, but the thing about cities is that even their most mundane corners are places of colour and pattern. While visiting New York City I couldn’t help but notice the subway ventilation gratings underfoot. I got caught up in their hypnotic, minimalist rhythm and just had to put them on mittens.
