This warm cozy beanie is great for beginners. The pattern is very forgiving, and even if you crochet tighter (most new crocheters tend to crochet very tight) it stretches enough to still fit. I used almost 1 skein of yarn, any chunky yarn will work for this, and I still had enough for a pom pom after. (I will add that pattern later on).
