Yarn: Knit Picks Brava 500, 100% Acrylic, 1090 yards (997 meters)/500 grams (17.64 ounces) shown in Clarity.

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) dpns and circular needles.

Notions: Stitch markers, 281 pony beads, 32-inch (81 cm) hula hoop or length of poly-piping and (optional) waste yarn for mounting.

Gauge: 14 sts and 20 rows = 4inches (10 cm)

Knit center out
For a doily sized piece use thinner cotton thread and replace pony beads with purl stitches

While Gauge is not critical to this piece, knitters choices in materials and yarn will affect the finished size and if it will fit your hula hoop.

For a smaller, doily sized, piece use laceweight yarn and your choice of needles to obtain a fabric you like.

In place of a hula hoop any metal ring of correct sizing for your piece or a length of poly piping cut and joined to your finished dimensions can be used.

If using poly piping piece can be mounted by threading pipe through the crochet chains before joining.
