Mielikki is the Finnish goddess of the forest and the hunt. She tends to wounded animals, especially those who have been trapped. The verdant hues of this yarn bring to mind walks through the old-growth forests that I played in growing up in Yorkshire. These socks would have been perfect for keeping my feet warm oncold, muddy autumn days.
