I got inspiration for Mielitietty mittens from a poem of Kanteletar, love, nature, and famous Kainuu Flower mittens (Kainuun kukkalapaset). These mittens are knitted with either sport weight or worsted weight yarn using up to five colors. The mittens can be knitted with two, three, four or five colors, based on your preferences.

There are separate charts for left and right mittens. There is only one size with 52 stitches
available, but you can adjust the size by choosing thinner or thicker yarn and smaller or larger needles.

With sport weight yarn the mittens will be size women’s small and with worsted weight yarn size women’s medium or large. The pattern is written for circular needles, but there are red lines on the charts marking the placement of stitches on DPNs.

There are four sets of charts, multicolored normal palm length, multicolored longer palm length, multicolored shorter palm length and two-colored normal length.

Mielitietty-lapaset ovat saaneet innoituksensa Kantelettaren runosta, rakkaudesta, luonnosta ja Kainuun kukkalapasista. Lapaset on neulottu sport-vahvuisesta villalangasta viidellä värillä, mutta lapaset voi aivan mainiosti neuloa myös kahdella, kolmella tai neljällä värillä. Lapasiin on oma kaavio vasemmalle ja oikealle kädelle.
Lapasiin on yksi silmukkamäärä ja kolme eri pituusvaihtoehtoa, mutta langanvahvuutta ja puikkokokoa muuttamalla saat säädettyä lapasten kokoa. Sport-vahvuisella langalla saat neulottua naisten S-kokoiset lapaset, paksummalla worsted-vahvuisella langalla M- tai L-kokoiset naisten lapaset. Lapasissa on kiilapeukalo ja varressa i-cord-aloitus sekä kierreraidat. Ohje on kirjoitettu pyöröpuikoille, mutta sukkapuikkojen silmukkajako on merkitty kaavioihin. Kaavioihin on versio sekä moniväriselle lapaselle että kaksiväriselle.
