Happy Holidays!
This one is quick and easy. Unless you make a garland. I hope somebody makes a garland.
You’ll need to work in the round (I used DPNs), increase, decrease, and work a little i-cord for the stem. That’s it.
I try to leave “scope for the imagination” in my patterns, but I had so many ideas while I was working on the plain acorns that I really need to share a few:
cat toys (put catnip in the stuffing)
embroider little things on the nut part (initials? hearts? the date?)
garland!!
teeny sock yarn acorns (OH on a necklace!)
GIANT super bulky acorns to throw at people
GIANT acorns and put faces on them so they are stuffies
shiny yarn for a Fancy Acorn
jute for a really rustic acorn
put them on a wreath
make them to put on your table
a bowl full
If you do any of these things (or anything else), I’d like to see!
If you spot a mistake, please let me know so that we can save other knitters from confusion and me from more embarrassment than usual.
