I had an idea for cables that move together on the hat. Uses decreases/increases and taking extra stitches into the cable to do this. There are no cables on the back of the hat but you could easily add two more.

I used less than one skein of Lion Brand Scarfie (which isn’t as bulky as it claims). You could totally get away with a worsted weight.
