Diese Socken werden in Runden von oben nach unten mit einer klassischen Käppchenferse gearbeitet, durchgehend im mehrfarbigen Muster laut Musterdiagramm und kleinen Lochmusterrunden dazwischen.

Material
Vierfädige Sockenwolle, z.B. Lana Grossa Cool Wool 4 Socks, Regia Premium Silk oder Merino Yak, oder jedes andere vierfädige Sockengarn. Wir haben bei dieser Anleitung handgefärbte Sockenwolle verwendet.

Garnverbrauch
Insgesamt 100 g (400 m) in allen Größen.
Die Garnmenge pro Farbe kommt auf die gewählten Kombinationen an. Ich habe selbst für ein Paar Socken ca. 40 g in der Hauptfarbe verwendet und bei 5 Akzentfarben je ca. 8-10 g pro Akzentfarbe. Bei einem zweiten Paar mit nur 2 Akzentfarben habe ich dagegen pro Akzentfarbe ca. 20 g verwendet.

Bei mehrfarbigen Socken müsst ihr ganz genau auf die Maschenprobe achten und im Zweifelsfall sogar eher eine größere Nadelstärke wählen, da die Socke durch die Spannfäden der zweiten Farbe deutlich weniger dehnbar ist als einfarbige Socken.
Zum Vergleich: Ich stricke Socken mit derselben Maschenzahl, einfarbig und im Lochmuster, gerne mit Nadelstärke 2,0. Für diese mehrfarbigen Socken musste ich Nadelstärke 3,0 verwenden, um die Socke über die Ferse zu kriegen.
Wenn ihr euch unsicher seid, probiert ihr die Socke nach einem oder zwei Musterrapports einmal an, um zu prüfen, dass sie über die Ferse kommt.

ENGLISH VERSION

These socks are worked in the round from the top down with a heel flap, with a multi-colured pattern divided by eyelet rounds.

Material
4-ply sock yarn, e.g. Lana Grossa Cool Wool 4 Socks, Regia Premium Silk or Merino Yak, or any other 4-ply sock yarn. We used hand-dyed sock yarn for this pattern.

Yardage
A total of 100 g /400 m (3.5 oz /437 yds) in all sizes.
The amount of yarn per color depends on your chosen colour combination. I used about 40 g (1.4 oz) of the main color for a pair of socks, and about 8-10 g (0.3-0.35 oz) per accent color for my sock with 5 accent colors. For a second pair with only 2 accent colors, I used approx. 20 g (0.7 oz) per accent color.

Gauge
28 sts = 10 cm (4”).
With multi-coloured socks, you have to pay close attention to the gauge and, if in doubt, choose a larger needle size. The floats of the contrast color make the sock is significantly less stretchy than single-colored socks.
For comparison: I knit socks with the same number of stitches, with one colour and a lace pattern, using needle size 2.0. For these multi-colored socks I had to use a size 3.0 needle to get the sock over the heel.
If you are unsure, try the sock on once after one or two pattern repeats to check that it fits over the heel.
