About this pattern:
• Pattern is written in English with standard US terms.
• As I am a right-handed, this pattern is written with right-handed crocheters in mind, left-handed crocheters should crochet in different direction.
• This pattern is suitable for beginner crocheters, it has zero sewing and made up from basic stitches
• This piece will have deep V-neckline and tie up detail (the top & dress won’t have tie up detail, it will have drawstring detail instead)
• This piece does not require any sewing; it is crocheted continuously, adding new rows to the existing piece.
• This piece will have 5-15 cm positive ease to create a drop shoulder silhouette and butterfly sleeves silhouette
Note: the value of positive ease will depends on your whole body proportion, but you don’t have to worry about it because the calculator will automatically calculate the ease for you)
• As it is worked top to bottom (starting from shoulder), you can always add the torso length and sleeve length along the way.
p.s: I know some might say that my written pattern looks so intimidating because of the oh so many pages
and the supplementary calculator. But don’t worry, this long pdf file means there are tons of
step by step picture and diagrams to help you get through it.
++ with the excel spreadsheet, you won’t need to do math, the calculator will do it for you
(because I know, I am not the only one who hate math, and I am not the only one who are just too lazy to match gauge).
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIGITAL
CROCHET PATTERN AND TUTORIAL ONLY,
NOT A FINISHED ITEM / PRODUCT.

All the pattern and instruction is written in English, using standard US terms.
Materials & tools needed:
• ANY YARN WEIGHT WORKS
• Crochet Hook that is the recommended size for your yarn weight and second crochet hook that is one size larger (one size larger means 3.00 mm and 3.50 mm, 4.00mm and 4.50 mm, etc).
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
• Measuring tape / ruler
• elastic thread / elastic band (optional)
• 1 - 3 pieces of buttons, diameter 1.8 cm – 2.5 cm (optional)
Yarn usage based on my measurement (bust 81 cm, waist 69 cm)
- Short sleeve top version (women bust size S): top height 34 cm, I used approximately 175g (490m) of #1 fingering weight cotton bamboo blend yarn + 2 strand of glitter thread, used 2.50mm hook
- Short sleeve cardigan version – open front (women bust size S): cardigan height 34 cm, I used approximately 80g of #0 lace weight mohair yarn (acrylic), used 4.00mm hook
- ¾ sleeve cardigan / kimono version – open front (women bust size S): cardigan height 40 cm, I used approximately 200g of #2 sport weight acrylic blend yarn, used 3.50mm hook
Note: if you use pure cotton yarn, the weight will be doubled as it is heavier than cotton blend and acrylic blend.
(How much yarn you required is highly depends on the yarn weight, yarn type, crochet hook size, your tension, bust size, I put the detailed info on how much yarn does each testers used in the lookbook)
Yarn recommendation:
- Heavier weight yarn will create wider grid, boxier and more constructed piece.
- Lighter weight yarn will create smaller grid and the drape will be flowy.
- Please note that fluffy and fuzzy yarn (such as mohair, alpaca, etc) will not be suitable for beginners because it will be harder to see and count the stitches)
- If you are going to make toddler / child / teen size, would highly recommend you to use #0 lace weight or #1 fingering weight for more flowy drape
Crochet hook reference:because this sweater has oversized fit and lounge vibes, you can be more creative with the hook and yarn combination
- If you want more lacey and airy piece you can choose fingering or sport weight yarn with large hook size – 5.00 mm or 6.00 mm).
- If you want less transparent piece (less gap, denser stitches) you can choose fingering weight yarn with 2.00 mm – 3.00 mm hook size.
