Milady is an elegant Victorian-inspired sweater. Its high collar and sleeve bracelets are decorated with lace. It is a classic and timeless piece with unique and feminine details.

Milady is knitted seamlessly from the top-down. It has gathered and puffed sleeves. It is worked with two strands of lace weight yarn held together: one is a wool yarn and the other is a blend of silk and mohair. This yarn combo can be substituted with any fingering weight yarn.

Sizes
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL).
Shown in size XS with 2’’ / 5 cm of positive ease at bust. Chose a size with 1 to 3’’ / 3 to 8 cm of positive ease at bust.
Bust circumference of the finished garment: 33½ (36, 40, 44, 48) (52, 56, 60, 64)’’ / 85 (91, 102, 112, 122) (132, 142, 152, 163) cm.

Please note that sizes 4XL and 5XL have unfortunately not been tested because I could not find any tester. If you want to knit one of these sizes, please contact me. I will be happy to send you the pattern.

24 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 4 x 4’’ in stockinette st with 4 mm / US 6 needles, after blocking.

Nurtured Fine by Julie Asselin, 100 % fine wool (Rambouillet, Targhee and Merino), 708 m / 112 g.
2 (2, 2, 3, 3) (3, 3, 4, 4) cones in the color Dew OR approximatively 985 (1120, 1290, 1530, 1715) (1910, 2085, 2265, 2440) m of lace weight yarn.

AND

Anatolia by Julie Asselin, 60 % kid mohair / 40 % silk, 300 m / 25 g.
4 (4, 4, 5, 6) (6, 7, 7, 8) skeins in the color Biscotti OR approximatively 985 (1120, 1290, 1530, 1715) (1910, 2085, 2265, 2440) m of a lace weight silk and mohair blend.

Those 2 yarns are held together in this pattern.

If you want to use only 1 strand of yarn, you can substitute this yarn combo with any fingering weight yarn that gives you the same gauge. You will need approximatively 985 (1120, 1290, 1530, 1715) (1910, 2085, 2265, 2440) m of fingering weight yarn.

Milady est un élégant chandail d’inspiration victorienne. Il se caractérise par son col montant et ses bracelets de manches décorés de dentelle. C’est une pièce classique et intemporelle avec des détails uniques et féminins.

Milady se tricote du haut vers le bas, sans couture, avec des manches montées et bouffantes. Il est tricoté avec deux brins de fil de grosseur dentelle tenus ensemble : l’un est un fil de laine et l’autre un mélange de mohair et de soie. Ce mélange peut également être substitué par n’importe quel fil de grosseur « fingering ».

Le modèle présenté est tricoté dans la taille XS et est porté avec 2 po / 5 cm d’aisance positive. Choisissez une taille mesurant 1 à 3 po / 3 à 8 cm de plus que votre tour de poitrine.
